Kosovska Kamenica, 8 July: Lists containing the names of 32 unwanted Serbs from
Kosovska Mitrovica were once again found in the town early this morning, but at
different locations from previous ones, Albanian and Serb sources have told
FoNet.
The lists, which had been removed from eight locations where they had been put
up yesterday, today appeared in other locations.
The lists, written on four A4 sheets, contain the names of eminent Serbs from
this municipality among whom are the former head of the municipality, the former
chairman of the [municipal] executive council, the [former director of the]
House of Culture and others.
A large number of Serbs on the list live in Kosovska Kamenica.
The list of the unwanted, whose names were even publicly read out at a concert
in the House of Culture, upset the Serb and non-Albanian population in this
municipality.
They said at the Kosovo Police Service (KPS) that they had heard about the
lists, but added that they had not seen them.
Local Serbs blame representatives of the local and international community for
"having done nothing to remove the lists and discover and punish those who put
them up".
